Can I bring my dog?
No. As we share the meadow with wildlife we have made the decision not to allow pets on the campsite.
Can I have a campfire?
Yes, absolutely! Each pitch or accommodation has its own firepit with cooking grill. We ask that you use seasoned wood (available on site). If the weather is very dry for long periods of time we may have to restrict fires for safety reasons.
Can I bring a BBQ?
Yes, as long as it is raised off the ground and kept away from the long grass.
How many people can I book for?
Each accommodation/pitch has a maximum number of guests and this will be made clear when booking. Our maximum group size is 10 people unless you are booking the whole site, in which case it is 25 people. Please respect the maximum group sizes as larger groups can unintentionally affect the dynamics of our very small site.
Can I book if I am under 18?
Yes, if you have at least one member of your group that is 18 or over. As a stay on our campsite includes a lot of fires and fire lighting we are not really suitable for groups of young people on their own.
Do you have a fridge?
No. We have a 12 volt freezer for ice blocks in the camp kitchen but a fridge would drain too much power from the batteries on our solar powered site.
Is there drinking water on site?
Yes, all of the water on site is from the mains supply so you don’t need to bring bottled water.
Can I get a hot shower?
Yes, we have two hot water stoves that can heat water for the shower when you need it. It takes about 20 minutes to heat.
Are there shops nearby?
Yes, we have a farm shop and cafe just along the road. There is also a Spar within walking distance and a larger Co-op in the next village.
Can I park next to my tent?
No. We don’t allow cars on the campsite as we keep the grass long around the pitches and leave areas wild. We have space for one car per pitch in the car park next to the camping meadow and an extra area for additional cars if needed (£10 per additional car). There are wheelbarrows to help move your kit.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. We will return 50% of the total fee if bookings are cancelled 2 weeks or more in advance (4 weeks for whole site bookings). If we are able to re-book the dates we will refund the entire amount (minus a 5% booking fee that covers Stripe/Inn Style charges) no matter when you cancel. We will confirm all cancellations in writing.
Can I play music?
It depends. We ask that you don’t play recorded music unless you are staying as a whole site booking as we are a quiet site and sound can travel and disturb others. We ask that whole site booking guests respect our neighbours and keep music to a reasonable level. Music should be turned off from 10pm.
Can I borrow a bike?
Yes. We have bikes to borrow from the bike shed. We will make sure that they are ready to use, but they are not brand new so you may want to check them over to make sure that they will suit you and are the right size.
Can I invite friends/family to see me on the campsite?
You need to ask us first – we have a limit on the number of people that can be on the campsite, so if we are particularly busy with campers it may not be possible to have visitors on site in addition to our paying guests.
How do I claim my eco travel discount?
When you are booking your stay enter either ‘ecopitches’ for tent pitches or ‘ecoglamping’ for Slow Camps or the StarDome in the Secret Code box. A 10% discount will automatically be applied to your booking fee.
