Thank you all for working with us this year to keep all of our guests as safe as possible. We will be keeping the Covid 19 measures in place during 2021 as we have had positive feedback from campers.

We will be providing a Welcome Pack of essentials on arrival for your stay. This will include:

  • Washing up bowl
  • Tea towel
  • Washing up cloth
  • Toilet roll
  • Eco firelighters
  • Matches

In addition we have made the following alterations to our site in order to help try to keep everyone safe:

  • One car per pitch/accommodation
  • Parking space allocated to each pitch/accommodation
  • One car’s width between each space
  • Self check in
  • Hand sanitiser at the gate
  • More trolleys available
  • Pre­visit information pack
  • Welcome kit provided for each pitch/accommodation
  • No additional day visitors
  • 24hr gap between bookings in the furnished accommodation
  • All bedding, including mattress protectors will be cleaned to the guidance provided to ensure that all potential risks are eliminated. This also includes other fabric items that our guests will come into contact with.
  • It will be the expectation of our guests to strip their beds and place all bedding, including the mattress protector and extra blanket into a black plastic bag and tied shut (provided). This is to help protect us when completing the change overs between bookings.
  • Some furnishings will be removed in order to limit the number of touch points within the accommodation. As a result there might be a few finishing touches missing for a while.
  • The plates, mugs, bowls, cutlery and utensils will be basic and kept to a minimum. Two kits per accommodation will be in use to that they can be alternated between bookings.
  • Outdoor cooking stoves and pots will be cleaned between bookings.
  • Futon mattresses for the Slow Camping base camps will be covered with a clean mattress protector
  • Fire pit and picnic table at each pitch/accommodation
  • Pitches at least 15m apart
  • Multiple paths from pitches to communal area
  • A double pitch with space for two household groups
  • Engaged/vacant locks on toilet and shower doors
  • Single use hand towels
  • BENSEN1276 standard eco handwash (geranium!)
  • Pitches/accommodation allocated to particular loos
  • Extra cleaning during the day
  • Lift or push button taps
  • We will wear masks whilst cleaning and at times when we meet guests face to face
  • Timed slots for pizza oven and brick BBQs
  • No shared kit for now
  • Information/maps on display rather than in folders
  • Clear panels at head height between the sinks
  • Well spaced out seating within the dining tent
  • Two water standpipes to allow better access to cold water
  • Contactless payment for supplies
  • Payment balances taken through our booking system
  • Trugs of wood and bags of charcoal available in the camp kitchen (trugs sanitized between loads)
  • Full flexility if you need to rebook your stay
  • New circular farm walk from the campsite
  • Visits to see the animals (Alpaca walks in small family groups)
  • We have removed outdoor games for now but have kept the stick den
  • The communal campfire is still at the heart of the campsite
