Last year several of our campers brought their bicycles with them, or borrowed ours, and set off to explore the local area. Suffolk and Norfolk are great counties to cycle in – nice and flat with lots of pubs or other places of interest to call in at. This year we will continue to lend out our trusty team of pre-loved bikes and provide a home for your travel companions too. The cycling maps will still be available in the bike shed, but we will now also add some suggested places to cycle to.

Thanks to our very good (and far more athletic) friend Paul Calver we also now have a tried and tested route from London to Ling’s Meadow for you to try out. Here is the map that Paul kindly created for us. You can find further details at our Mapmyride page http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/349183349.

Don’t forget we offer a 10% discount on bell tent and pitch bookings for all guests arriving under their own steam! The first person to give it a go will also receive a set of locally brewed bottled beers from Old Chimneys Brewery for their efforts when they reach Ling’s Meadow!

If you would like to add your own favourite cycle route to Ling’s Meadow, or one that you have discovered in our local area, do let us know.
